Kid’s Club Program

“If we are to teach real peace in this world… we shall have to begin with the children”

Mahatma Gandi

What is Kid’s Club?

  • Kids’ club is a childcare program that provides strength-based, trauma informed support to children, ages 0 to 11 years, while their parent/guardian is attending support groups or workshops offered by Walnut Avenue Women’s Center.
  • Kid’s club is staffed by Volunteer Advocates who are part of our Youth Development Services department. The Volunteer Child Advocates have received training on the needs of children who have experienced trauma.

Our Goal

  • To provide a safe space for children where they can express themselves, relax and have fun.
