The Essential Piece Campaign
The overall cost of the project is $4 million. By collaborating with dedicated architects and builders, we have secured fair and even charitable costs estimates. We are securing funding through government, corporate, and foundation sources, as well as from individuals in the community.
Our Goal
Our goal is to raise the funds necessary without overburdening our community. Therefore, we have created accessible giving plans that allow everyone to participate regardless of their financial status. Pledges can be paid over 2 years and currently range from $75 to $155,000. Payments can be made by check, cash or by credit card by clicking the donate now button.

Volunteer
The Walnut Avenue Women’s Center Expansion involves our whole community. This project is for the whole community and it will take the whole community to complete. we count on the support of dedicated people who will help us see this through. We welcome volunteers who can help with small construction and landscaping projects, program support and fundraising. With an estimated budget of $3 million, we are counting on people and businesses in Santa Cruz to help us raise the money needed to make this project happen.
